The Abiquiu Cliffs — Southwestern Art Crossbody Bag, New Mexico Landscape Gift

This is my interpretation of one of my most favorite places in the world: The Abiquiú Cliffs in New Mexico.

The first version of this piece was a birthday card for my friend Liz. One fine day, not long ago, we wandered to the Rio Chama in Abiquiú. John, Liz’s husband, patiently let us jump from the car and take photo after photo, all along the crazy Monastery Road! (If you know, you know!)

The warm layered ochre and terracotta; the feeling of deep time in the rock; the eternity in the sky; the immortality of life. A piece of Heaven on Earth.
